PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - Students from several area schools gathered at Heinz Field to learn more about proper nutrition and the importance of exercise.

Steeler alumnus and former defensive lineman Chris Hoke was there to help the students with punting, passing and kicking drills.

The students also toured the team's locker room and other parts of Heinz Field, but the rain kept them indoors for most of the day.

During the event, Hoke told the students about the importance of eating healthy foods and getting up and moving for at least 60 minutes per day.

He admitted there are unique challenges when it comes to staying active in today's modern world.

"It's - T25 Results - not like when we were growing up, when you were always outside, you're playing games, you're playing basketball, you're playing catch with your buddies," says Hoke. "It's a real struggle to get these kids out with so many things that keep them indoors. And so really, the - 25 mins - motivation is to get these kids outside."

Max Zaborowski, a student from Fred L. Aiken Elementary School in Green Tree, says he understands why being active is important.
